Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is your idea of the "perfect client"?

A: Someone that wants to be involved with the process. I love people that want an "experience" not just a photo session. I like people that do things outside the box. I want you to get the kind of images you've dreamed of and I will work with you to get just that!

Q: How long does it take to receive my images?

A: For most sessions like portraits, family sessions, senior photo and smaller events I will generally have your images online within 1-2 weeks. If you are choosing images for special retouching expect them to take a bit longer. For larger events please allow up to 4 or 5 weeks for your images to be delivered to your online gallery.

Q: Who owns the copyright to the images?

A: Sunset Exposures owns the copyrights of all images and retains the right to use the image, without compensation or notification to the client, to promote their business and any other vendors involved in the session. I may display them, post them on this site, social media such as FaceBook,  Instagram, LinkedIn, etc., on a blog, in a magazine, book , app or any other media. If the client does not wish to have their images posted in such a manner,  they must inform Sunset Exposures in writing before their images are delivered to their online gallery.

Q: How can the images be used by the client?

A: You will receive a digital high resolution online gallery, non-watermarked, for personal use only. You will be given printing rights. We can also provide prints for an additional fee.

Q: How can your services be retained and save a date?

A: There is a 50% non-refundable retainer and a signed contract  required.

Q: How large of an area do you cover?

A: I will travel anywhere for a photo session, however, anything beyond a 30 mile radius of Seekonk, MA will incur travel fees. These can include, but are not limited to, mileage, airline tickets, hotel, etc.

Q: What equipment do you use?

A: I use Nikon camera equipment, both full frame and crop sensor. Lenses are Nikon, Sigma and Tamron. While I prefer to use natural lighting for most outdoor scenarios, I always have speedlights and softboxes with me for the ride!  All my work goes on dual slot high speed flash cards and is transferred and backed up on computer as soon as I return from our session. It would be extremely rare to have to re-shoot a session.

Q: Do you have a studio?

A: The short answer is no. I do most of my sessions either at the client's home, office, or on location. I have a studio location available to me at an extra cost. I would only pass that cost along to my client. Please inquire if you wish to do something "in studio" and I'd be happy to get you the proper cost for that service.
